GOC 3 Corps inaugurates Special national integration camp

Imphal, Jan 9:  Special national integration camps are organized annually at six different locations throughout the country, to reach out to the people in remotest corners of our country, was formally inaugurated by GOC 3 Corps on 06 Jan 2015 at Patkai Christian College, Dimapur .The camp is being attended by 600 NCC cadets and NCC officers from different parts of the country, including 147 cadets from the North East region.
Lt Gen Bipen Rawat, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM during his inaugural speech informed the cadets that he himself was a NCC cadet in junior division which has been very helpful in shaping his career. He also brought out the challenges facing the nation and that this country has a lot faith in the youth in tackling the challenges ahead. NCC Cadets in camps like SNIC should use this as an opportunity to bring out the hidden talent and leadership qualities in each one of you. The chief guest also congratulated the Cadets for the spectacular Guard of Honor presented to him and praised the cadets for the immense talent exhibited in the cultural extravaganza, showcasing unity in diversity and traditions of all parts of the county including that of Nagaland.
The aim of the camp is to foster a spirit of unity amongst the cadets, cutting across regional, religious, linguistic and cultural barriers, and provide them an opportunity to learn from each other‘s culture  and traditions. This camp will witness many activities during the days to come for the cadets. The camp is underway since 03 Jan and will run till  14 Jan 2015.
