24 hours long general strike imposed by JAC against the brutal killing of Md. Noushad at Lilong Ngangou Loukol affected normal lives at Khergao and Top area of Imphal East district. However, normal life continues at other part of Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal district, Bishnupur district and other part of the state.
The bandh which started from Friday 6.00 pm was called in demand against the government to produce the culprit involved in the killing of Md Noushad of Khergao Makha Leikai at Lilong Ngangou Loukol.
Supporting the bandh, the agitators today blocked roads at Khergao and Top of Imphal East district. The protestors shouted slogans like produce the culprit involved in the killing of Noushad and threatened that the deceased body will not be accepted by the family.
