Geetanjali and Kananbala felicitated

Laishram Geetanjali Devi and Sorokhaibam Kananbala Devi who  clinched Gold Medal in the recently concluded World Martial Art Games held in Hua Mak Indoor Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand and
their coach M.Ibomcha Singh were also felicitated by the Wangkhem locals at Wangkhem Public Ground on Saturday.
L.Geetanjali Devi from Thoubal Wangkhem and S.Kananbala Devi from Charangpat Mamang Leikai won Gold Medal in Jeet Kune-Do event  in the World Martial Art Games held at Hua Mak Indoor Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand.
Both the gold medalists – Laishram Geetanjali Devi and Sorokhaibam Kananbala Devi along with their coach M.Ibomcha Singh were felicitated by the Wangkhem locals at Wangkhem Public Ground on Saturday.
Organised by the Wangkhem Youth Club (WYC),Thoubal Wangkhem, Gold Medalist Geetanjali and Kananbala who were arrived at Imphal around 1:30 pm were warmly felicitated by the locals of Wangkhem.
The girls Jeet Kude-Do player had earlier won many medals in various National and international  championships. Geetanjali clinched five Gold Medals,International & National in Jeet Kune-Do and Kananbala clinched five Gold,two silver and two bronze Medals,International & National in Jeet Kune-Do event.
Dr.Kh.Ratankumar,Minister,Works & Transport Govt. of Manipur, K.Meghachandra,Parliametry Secretary,MI & IPR,Govt. of Manipur, Kh.Sobha,  Zila Parishad member, Wangkhem ZP,  .Suni, Pradhan, Wangkhem Gram Panchayat, L.Kadamjit,Social Worker, attended as Chief guest, president and guest of honours respectively in the reception function.
