GDS begins fast protest

Imphal, Nov 9 : Employees of All India Grameen Dak Sevak, Manipur Division has began 2 day fast in protest demanding implementation of seventh pay commission in front of the Imphal Head Post Office.  The GDS Committee was formed in connection with the service condition of the 2 lakh and 63 thousand GDS employees in India. Secretary of All India Grameen Dak Sevak, Manipur Division, Sanasam Yaima said, the GDS employees are all set to intensify its agitation against the indifferent attitude of the Government of India towards them. He reiterated the demands of the GDS employees that have remained unaddressed for a long time.
