Gangte Students’ Organisation (GSO) has alleged Gangte Welfare Association (GWA) of misleading the former President of India through false, fabricated or concocted claims.
A statement issued by the Information and Publicity Department , GSO HQ said that the so call organization Gangte Welfare Association is set to organise a ‘Silver Jubilee’ event on Oct 12, 2019 taking the base year of GSO Delhi.
“It is a fact that the Gangte Students’ Organisation (GSO), Delhi was established in 1994 whereas the Gangte Welfare Association (GWA), Delhi was formed in 1998. As such, GSO, D&NCR celebrated its Silver Jubilee with much fanfare on 7th Sept., 2019 at Sankar Srimanta Bhavan, New Delhi”, the statement said.
The statement further said that the organisers of the Silver Jubilee’ event of the GWA.
“At one instance they would claim it to be the ‘Silver Jubilee of Delhi Gangte community. There is no wonder when they are placed at uncomfortable situations as if groping in the dark scurrying to find an appropriate name to their function! Because, GWA is still short of attaining 25 years and ‘Delhi Gangte community’ existed long even before the establishment of GSO Delhi”, the statement said.
Terming it as unfortunate , the statement said that the so called GWA conspicuously ignored the existence of GSO Delhi. It said the GSO is the apex body of the Gangte students in Delhi and elsewhere. It can be deducted that this so called GWA is only tool and its leadership a puppet of some vested leaders back home who are hell-bent to obliterate the Gangte tribe and their people from the face of the earth as is evident from their activities. It is stated stand of the Gangte Students’ Organisations that Gangte as a distinct tribe should maintain its identity at any cost. The GWA or other bogus organizations may fool others, but they can never fool or distort the truth. We stand by the truth.
The GSO, Delhi appealed all Gangte residing in Delhi & NCR not to extend any forms of cooperation-moral or anything- to the bogus function being organised in the name of GWA and to distance themselves from such unjustifiable functions organisations.
