FVDC Chandel demands clearance of pending compensation for natural disaster victims

Flood Victims Demand Committee (FVDC) Chandel appeal the state ruling government and relevant Authority for kind Information and necessary action on humanitarian ground for the Interest of sufferers. (Rural Development Housing section) Krishna Bhavan, New Delhi has sanction for final payment on dated 12th February 2019 to the state government of Manipur. The disaster on 2015 by flood and landslide occurred unnaturally. 

Demanding pending compensations, the Chandel Flood Victims had imposed 48hrs bandh since 16th midnight of October 2018 lmphal-Moreh-Chandel. It also threatens to launch indefinite agitation.

However, the bandh has been called off after representatives of FVDC and Minister Th.Bishwajit held meeting along with Addl Chief Secretary PR & RD, Joint Secretary PR & RD and Deputy Commissioner Chandel. At the meeting the Minister assures the flood Victims that he will personally meet the Union Minister and Secretary concerned on 29th October and pursue the matter and the due amount will be arranged to be released before the coming Christmas.

Flood Victims Demand Committee along with the victims will resume democratic forms of agitations if fail to pay the said compensation within March 2019.
