Free Cataract Detection Camp held

A one-day free Eye-treatment and Cataract Detection Camp was organized jointly by National Programme For Control of Blindness (NPCB),Thoubal, District Health Society,Thoubal and Shija Health Care and Research Institute, Langol at Primary Health Centre (PHC),Leishangthem in Thoubal District on Saturday.
A team of two doctors and 10 Subordinate staff led by Dr.K.Bikram and Dr.Kh.Noornika of Shija Health Care and Research Institute, Langol conducted the camp wherein villagers of Leishangthem and nearby areas availed the free eye treatment.
Shija Health Care and Research Institute, Langol would conduct operations free of cost for those patients who are diagnosed with cataract. Out of 200 persons examined in the camp, 42 persons were confirmed with cataract.
