Foundation stone laid for Institute of Human Excellence

State government will try to extend all possible assistance to the efforts of the Ramakrishna Mission in propagating education, Chief Minister I Ibobi stated in his speech at the Foundation Stone laying ceremony for the Institute of Human Excellence building at Babupara where previously the Bengali High school campus stood, under the Ramakrishna Mission Society today. A monk’s quarter was also inaugurated at the campus in the presence of Swami Suhitanandaji Maharaj- General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission- Belur Math, Howrah.
In his speech, the Chief Minister expressed hope that the upcoming institute will be able to provide quality education to the people of Manipur in such diverse spheres and subjects including Information Technology and give a positive fillip to the education sector in Manipur and help aspiring students to achieve their goals, adding that the desire to open a Ramakrishna mission Centre has been felt for long, but various developments in the state has been preventing the government from acting on it till now. Highlighting the secular outlook and belief of the society, the Chief Minister added that the state is like a Mini India with diverse communities, languages, beliefs and faiths being followed and adopted by different groups according to their beliefs and preferences.
Education Minister M Okendro, present as the Guest of Honor, speaking on the occasion expressed the hope that the Institute will help provide valuable input to the students, both in terms of material and spiritual knowledge and help them to develop into complete individuals. H Dilip, Secretary Education and past students of Ramakrishna Mission also attended the function.
