The Village Monolith Foundation Unveiling Program of New Ramji-2 was held today in a grand ceremony attended by villagers, dignitaries, and local officials. The event began with a traditional welcome ceremony, followed by a keynote address from the Village Headman, who emphasized the cultural and historical importance of the monolith in preserving the village’s heritage.
The monolith was officially unveiled by Sangailung Pamei, CAO of Zeilad Region, NSCN/GPRN, in the presence of Lansinga Kamei, Steering Executive NSCN/GPRN, and KC Savio Gangmei, President of Rongmei Naga Council Manipur (RNCM). Several key representatives from Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation Manipur (RNYOM), Rongmei Naga Students’ Organisation Manipur (RNSOM), and Rongmei Naga Luh Phwam Manipur (RNLPM) also graced the occasion, alongside members of the Ramji-2 Namthanjang Village Authority and other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Sangailung Pamei congratulated the villagers for their efforts in taking a significant step toward the development of the Rongmei community.
