A solemn tribute was paid today to the portrait of former Chief Minister and Member of Parliament Rishang Keishing on the 7th anniversary of his death. The commemorative event took place at Congress Bhavan, BT Road, Imphal, organized by the Manipur State Congress Committee (MPCC).
The ceremony was attended by prominent Congress figures, including former Chief Minister and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Okram Ibobi, MPCC President Keisham Meghachandra, Congress Working Committee (CWC) member Gaikhangam, and other key party members.
During the event, CLP leader Okram Ibobi highlighted Rishang Keishing’s dedication to protecting Manipur’s territorial integrity. Ibobi emphasized the importance of remembering and upholding Keishing’s principles and ideology, which he deemed essential for the state’s unity and identity.
The gathering concluded with party members reflecting on Keishing’s significant contributions to the state and his lasting impact on Manipur’s political landscape.
