Imphal, Sept 15:
The Federation of Haomee has raised serious concerns over the demarcation of hillocks in Imphal and Bishnupur as part of Kangpokpi District, questioning under whose leadership such decisions were made. In a recent statement, the federation criticized the ethnic division of district boundaries and demanded accountability from past leaders for allowing key areas in Bishnupur, Imphal East, and West to be reclassified as part of hill districts like Kangpokpi and Churachandpur.
The federation also condemned the ongoing violence and unrest in the state, pointing to drone bombings and the use of rocket launchers as tactics used to destabilize Manipur.
“Enemies want disunity among us; they want us to kill one another and disrupt our economic activities. This is part of a larger design orchestrated by those who control the hills,” the federation stated.
Calling for unity and vigilance, the Federation of Haomee urged the people of Manipur to understand the broader implications of these disruptions. They reiterated the need to resist attempts at sowing division and called for a stronger, more unified response to the forces trying to destabilize the state.
