FoH demands to reveal facts of the Chalwa incident

Federation of Haomee, a civil society of Manipur has demanded authority to reveal the facts of the Chalwa village at which a person was killed by a troop of 44 Assam Rifles at around 9 pm on June 4.
The Haomee vehemently condemns the violent act where a person died from the bullet of the security forces.
A statement by the General Secretary of the Youth Wing of the Federation of Haomee, Kh Johnson said that in the said incident a person identified as Mangboila Lhouvum was allegedly killed by a Major of the 44 AR. The Haomee said that such an incident is the distortion of peace and harmony in the state and appealed to the government to take up immediate action to stop such incidents in the future.
The Haomee statement said that both witnesses from AR and those company of the deceased Mangboilal should be questioned to find the truth.
Whether the armed group KRA is involved in the incident or not should be investigated at the highest level, Kh. Johnson said.
He added that if the AR version about pointing a gun at the AR troop by the party of Mangboilal is true then the gun used by them should be produced. All those who accompanied the Major of the AR need to be questioned, the Haomee statement said.
The Federation of Haomee demanded an immediate inquiry into the incident so that the wrongdoers are punished. The CSO also appealed not to repeat such an act in the future.
