Imphal, May 2:
The Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS), Manipur, is set to organise the observance of Aniraksuba 3/5 Ningshing Numit tomorrow, at Yumnam Khunou Community Hall in Khundrakpam, Imphal East district.
The programme, beginning at 10:00 am, will be held under the presence of BM. Yaima Shah, Acting President of FOCS and Chairman of the Organising Committee; Haopu Kom, President of Kom Tribe Union (Valley); Dr. K. Heera Kabui, President of Kabui Union, Manipur; Julia Shinglai, former AMSU; ML Medun Maring, President of Maring Catholic Congress; RK Phillip, President of Thangal Union; Abdul Hakim, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science DMU; Sorokhaibam Chandi, Secretary of Women Empowerment Association, Yumnam Khunou Awang and Thangjam Bina, Secretary, Nishaband, Yumnam Khunou Makha.
Keynote address will be given by Rakesh Moirangthem, Convener of the Organising Committee. The welcome address will be delivered by Laitonjam (o) Ashalata, a member of the organising team.
Invitees from Churachandpur (CCpur), Moreh, Kangpokpi, Ikou, and Irengbam Rojita Leima—representing Meitei Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)—will deliver speeches, alongside members of the presidium.
Retired IAS officer Dr. R.K. Nimai Singh, will attend the programme as resource person.
