Imphal, June 15:
Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS) Manipur paid honour to all the martyred of Manipur who has lost their lives in the attack by armed Kuki militants since May 3.
“We pay our highest honours to all the Manipuri who were killed by the Kuki Narco terrorists since May 3 in the state of Manipur. We also share our pains and sorrow with all the family members whose houses have been burnt by the suspected cadres of a Kuki Narco terrorist militant group”, a statement by FOCS said.
FOCS also strongly condemns the silence of the government even after 40 days of conflict.
“We condemn the silence of the central government to the conflict that has been killing people and burning the houses in the state”, the FOCS statement said.
FOCS also points figure to the armed Kuki militants who are under SoO with the government for the present conflict in the state.
“Those Kuki militants who are under SoO have violated the ground rule and killed the Meitei community. Is the Central Government secretly plotting to kill Meitei at the hands of Kuki? Is the Kuki militant group stronger than the Indian army? And is the Indian government delivering design?”, the FOCS statement said.
