FOCS demands withdrawal of Central Paramilitary Forces and Security Advisor

IT News
Imphal, Sept 4:

The Federation of Civil Society Organizations (FOCS) Manipur has urgently called for the withdrawal of Central paramilitary forces and Security Advisor Kuldip Singh following a series of violent incidents in the state.
In the early hours today, Kuki militants torched the residence of retired police officer Sinam Bipin in the Borobekra sub-division of Jakuradhor Bazar, Jiribam district. FOCS Manipur has condemned this attack in the strongest terms, criticizing both the Central paramilitary forces and Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh for their perceived inaction.
FOCS highlighted a troubling pattern of recent attacks on indigenous Meitei homes by Kuki militants, despite the presence of Central forces in the region. The organization has accused these forces of failing to intervene effectively while militants targeted, killed, and displaced members of the Meitei community.
The Federation has demanded the immediate withdrawal of Central security forces from Manipur, citing their inability to safeguard the local population and effectively address the escalating violence.
