FOCS blames “double-engine” BJP Govt for Manipur crisis

President of the Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS) Manipur, BM Yaima Shah, today alleged that the ongoing crisis in Manipur was the result of the “double-engine” BJP government at the Centre and in the state.
Speaking at the 10th Foundation Day celebration of Anouba Senmitlon held at Ngairangbam, Yaima Shah expressed concern over the worsening law and order situation and the prolonged unrest in the state. He stated that the people of Manipur have been facing immense hardship due to the continuing conflict and instability, and stressed the need for collective efforts to restore peace and normalcy.
The FOCS leader also called upon civil society organisations and the public to remain united in safeguarding the interests and integrity of Manipur during the ongoing crisis.
Speaking at the function, President of the Indigenous People’s Organisation Manipur (IPOM), Yumnam Devdutta, appealed to farmers across the state to work sincerely for the welfare and development of society. He highlighted the importance of agriculture in strengthening the state’s economy and urged the farming community to continue contributing towards self-reliance and food security.
The programme was attended by several dignitaries and community leaders, including S. Ranjan, President of UMO Moirangthem Sorojini Leima, President of AMMLML K. Guni Leima, and Deputy Director of Agriculture K. Nimaichand.
