Federation of Civil Society Organisation (FOCS) Manipur appeals to sort out misunderstandings between communities that are not engaging in the war to distort Manipur in pieces.
Referring to an incident in which a Meitei Pangal died in a mob fury in Takhel area, Th. Manihar, President of FOCS said that the people of the state are today at crossroads unable to make a decision on which way to go. Manihar said that such acts may create misunderstanding among the various communities other than the Kuki militants which are attempting to distort Manipur with all might, and should be avoided at all costs. He said that if any unwanted crime was found committed by any persons from any communities, they should be handed over to the CSOs of their respective leaders, as we are in a conflict situation.
“We don’t want the crisis to escalate by going in the wrong direction”, Manipur said.
The President of FOCS also appealed to the political party to play politics with the ongoing issue.
“If you love Manipur talk about protecting Manipur and do not try to disunite the people”, FOCS president warns the politician. He said if you don’t love Manipur please stay silent at Home and don’t come out to the public and spew venom to the people.
