The meeting was organised as part of the ongoing protest activities of the five organisations.

Speaking at the protest, MSF Headquarters Vice-President Rojit Tekcham addressed the gathering and shared the organisations’ views on the issues being raised.

Rojit Tekcham said that Manipur had remained part of India with the expectation that the people of the State would be able to live with dignity, security and peace, while also witnessing development and progress. He said the people of Manipur had believed that remaining within India would bring greater development and prosperity to the State.

He further spoke about the concerns being raised by the organisations and the need to safeguard the interests and identity of the people of Manipur.
