Family members accused husband slam mob for throwing slippers inside the court premises

Family members and locals of Ayekpam Chinglensana, the accused who was arrested in connection with the murder of his wife, slammed the mob who came in support of the deceased and threw slippers to him while producing before the CJM Imphal West.

The deceased Merina was found hung to death in a suspicious manner inside the room of her husband located at Takyel Khongban Maning Leikai, Imphal on early morning of February 13. Maternal side of Merina complains foul play to the death, accusing her husband behind her death.

Police arrested Merina’s husband Ayekpam Chinglensana and his brother Ayekpam Chingthangkhomba for investigation in connection with the death on February 17.

Sister of Chinglensana’s father A.Chitra said that she found a suicide note above a diary on the day of Merina ‘s death  when she was taken to hospital and  she also found that Merina had cried that evening after her brother came and scolded for something which Chitra did not know, the exact conversation between Merina and her brother and Merina also informed her husband about  bad feeling on  that day.

Chitra further said that the mobile phone which had been used by Merina  before her death was still at her maternal home which was taken on the day of her death at hospital  and she continued that  some sorts of clue should had  been traced from the mobile .And  there were a case 5 years ago  of missing of Merina  for 3 days but the family of Merina brought her and hand over to Chinglensana on the 3rd day.

‘’If my nephew Chinglensana were the real murderer of his wife Merina then the authority can give due punishment according to his deed’’ said Chitra while during a press conference at Manipur press club today.
