Faith-Based Leaders’ Consultancy Program held at Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple

A one-day consultancy program for faith-based leaders was held at Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple, Haying Khongbal Uphong Yumpham, Imphal, jointly organized by Bread for the World (BROT) and the People’s Resource Development Association (PRDA), Bishnupur.
The event brought together diverse faith leaders from across Manipur, who participated in meaningful discussions focused on the role of spirituality and faith-based service in fostering peace and harmony in society.
Prominent speakers included Pradeep Phanjoubam, Editor of IRAP; Longjam Suranjoy, Secretary of PRDA Bishnupur; K. Pradip Kumar, Chief Functionary of Anouba Punshikon Thamnapokpi; Dr. Lamabam Pishak, Secretary of UNM-M; and social activist RM Boypu Koireng. They were joined by faith leaders from various communities, who reaffirmed their commitment to fostering unity and healing in today’s deeply fractured times.
Speaking on the occasion, Salam Mani Luwang, Maiba Shanglakpa of the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board, said the sacred Sanamahi philosophy emphasizes the value of living in balance with the natural world and one another. He encouraged faith practitioners to lead by example in the pursuit of truth, harmony, and reconciliation, particularly during these challenging times for the state.
IRAP Editor Pradeep Phanjoubam remarked that while war never brings lasting good, the particular conflict in Manipur has proven this even more painfully. He stressed the need for all communities to come together on a common platform, share their grievances, and work collectively toward healing and peace.
Social activist RM Boypu Koireng added that the divine essence gifted by the Creator is love for fellow beings. He urged everyone to embrace and express this divine love in order to move toward a more peaceful and just society. He emphasized that true peace will only be achieved if we recognize and return to the essence of the Creator’s teachings.
