Extortion not the right practice for revolutionaries: KCP-MC (Liberation)

Extortions and coercion with the intention to force the public to part with their wealth is not the right practice for the revolutionaries, and if the increasingly common practice of forcing the people to part with their money and properties with threats of violence and injury and even loss of life is not timely checked, it will spell doom for the revolutionary movement in the state. This was stated in a press release of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party; KCP-MC (Liberation). The release, signed by Lanchen Meitei- Secretary Information & Publicity Military also highlights the present scenario where a group of unscrupulous elements get together to use threat and violence against the public for extortion and ransom by using the name of KCP with various prefix and suffix thereby projecting a wrong and undesirable image to the people of the state. The statement added that the party will be looking into the matter and will dispense justice to those found guilty of tarnishing the image of the revolutionary movement in the state and have already identified T. Bhupendro, (42) residing opposite of Standard College Kongba, Koijam Ibecha @ Khoibi (42) and Abe Chanu (26) of Kongba Kshetri Leikai as the group responsible for various nefarious activities including extortion, bombing residences and securing admission quotas from catholic mission schools with the assistance of a few other individuals from Kongba Uchekon whose exact details are being under investigation at present, working as a gang and securing wealth and personal benefits while disturbing the peace and tranquility of their locality by their constant drunken revelries. A few state security personnel are also involved in the extortion activities the statement claimed. Warning of dire consequences, the release asked those identified to stop their activities immediately, apologize to the public and to surrender themselves to the party, stating that KCP-MC (Liberation) does not demand financial contributions from the public and those using the name of the party to demand money are imposters.
