Extensive combined search operation uncovers arms cache at Maibam Lotpa Ching

In a collaborative effort led by 33 Assam Rifles (AR), a sweeping search operation was executed at Maibam Lotpa Ching Mamang Leikai near Kabui Village. The operation involved teams from the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), under the leadership of P. Sanjoy Singh MPS, alongside SI Nandalal Singh and Hav Sailesh. Additional support was provided by the 32nd Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Nambol Police Station team, under the guidance of OC Abhinav IPS.
Under the overarching command of SP Bishnupur Ksh Ravikumar Singh IPS and Amarjit Lamabam MPS, Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations), the operation yielded significant results.
During the meticulously conducted search operation, resembling a scene from warfare, a cache of weapons and ammunition was uncovered. Among the findings were: one Sten gun carbine with two magazines, one 9 mm pistol, one modified 303 rifle, nine HE 36 hand grenades, three smoke bombs, five 51 mm Mortar shells, one 2-inch Mortar shell, one detonator, four walkie-talkies (WT set) from different manufacturers, accompanied by 2 chargers, two mobile phones, two smoke shells, eight 7.62 mm ammunitions, two 5.56 INSAS ammunitions, two AK ammunitions, one tube launcher, one helmet, three pairs of jungle boots, three bulletproof vests, one rucksack bag, one sleeping bag.
These items were discovered in three separate areas, indicating a sophisticated storage operation.
