Explosion at scrap shop injures 3

Imphal, July 11: An explosive device went off at a metal scrap shop yesterday around 2.30 pm at Lalambung Makhong Takhellambam Leikai opposite MM Gas injuring three persons. The incident occurred when a worker at the scrap shop was sorting out the scraps when the explosion occured. Arunkumar Bora 20, S/o Sohami Bora of Borpeta Assam, Gola Bora 21, S/o Suresh Bora of Assam and Soibam Modhu 67, S/o Ibomcha of Changangei Mamang Leikai sustained injuries in the blast and were rushed to RIMS and SHIJA Hospitals for treatment. The scrap shop is owned by Seram Deben (55), S/o Ibotombi and is situated inside the homestead of the owner.
