Imphal, March 21: Talks about big politicians and bureaucrats digging mine in broad day light are frequently hard and misappropriation of fund by officers are common happenings in the state, no one dare to give any punishment to those responsible, however, a vehicle lifter was severely assaulted black and blues by an angry mob and later handed over to police. He is presently undergoing treatment at Thoubal district hospital.
As per report reaching here, the deceased vehicle lifter identified as Md. Fazal Phayal (age about 25) son of late Md. Bazaruddin from Sangaiyumpham Mairelhul, thoubal district, presently staying at Sangaiyumpham Cherapur, was caught red – handed while stealing a two wheeler DIO from Uyal Laikol Village area last midnight. The two wheeler vehicle, that the deceased tried to lift is a numberless one and belong to one Huidrom Gopeshwar. The angry locals thrashed the vehicle lifter and later handed over to police team.
Police recovered the stolen vehicle from the locality.
