Encounter at Indo- Myanmar border; 3 reported killed

At least 3 suspected militants were killed in fierce encounter that took place between the combined troops of 6 Dogra regiment and 11 Assam Rifles and suspected militant group at Indo-Myanmar Border in Chandel district at around 11 am today. According to source the encounter took place somewhere in between Bongjang Village and Motjang Village. The encounter lasted for around 90 minutes. The source further added that 2 of the dead bodies have been recovered and handed over to Moreh police but another is yet to be retrieved. The source added that the militants flee towards Myanmar side.
