Ema Lups warn agitation over failure to hand over the case of AK Nonganba to NIA

Leaders of the Six Ema Lups and JAC against the brutal killing of Ak Nonganba today warn of serious agitation over the failure to hand over the case to National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club today afternoon mother of the deceased AK Nonganba said that the government is waiting to exchange her son’s death with money or compensation which she will never agree. She said that she want justice and appealed to the government to find those culprits and put them behind bars as per the law of the land.
Leaders of the Ema Lup said that the Manipur government had given assurance for handing over the case to the NIA during a meeting with the representatives of the five women bodies on March 11, JAC and six Ema Lups called on the chief minister to turn his words into action, but till now, no action has been taken. Six Emas Lup and JAC will submit a memorandum to Chief Minister N Biren. If the government does not take seriously the six Ema Lups and JAC will enter different types of agitation.
Late Ak Nongamba Akoijam Nonganba alias Aging, 41, son of former minister (L) Pilot Laingam from Kwakeithel Awang Konjeng Leikai, Imphal West was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Changoubung under Kangpokpi Police Station, Manipur on February 12.
