Elephant killed Mahut

Imphal, Oct 22: An elephant used in timber logging killed its Mahut (elephant keeper).
The incident took place on the evening of October 20, 2017 at Bakie Village also known as Yangkhullen in Senapati District when the elephant turn rouge and killed a mahut (elephant keeper).
Report receive here says that the dead body of the Mahut (elephant keeper) has been taken to his native place in Assam.
It is also reported that villagers cannot move out and the children cannot go to school.
A team of Manipur Forest Dept and the Assam Wildlife Trust of India with  tranquillizer gun is on the way to Yangkhullen Village to take control of the situation.
