Electoral Roll observer reviews SIR process in Noney

Electoral Roll Observer Mohan Lal Meena, IAS, today reviewed the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Noney district.

The Observer was received at the District Election Office, Longmai, by Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Vidhyamari Sridhar, along with the Electoral Registration Officer and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers of 54-Nungba (ST) Assembly Constituency.

During the visit, Meena scrutinised 20 applications each under Forms 6, 7 and 8 to assess the quality and transparency of the revision process. He also interacted with representatives of political parties and stressed the importance of their cooperation in ensuring an accurate, inclusive and error-free electoral roll.

Later, he inspected the implementation of SIR activities at Polling Station No. 544, Peace Lane, Longmai, where he reviewed field-level verification and enrolment work and interacted with election officials. The visit reaffirmed the Election Commission’s commitment to a transparent and comprehensive revision of the electoral rolls.
