Imphal, April 29:

The Directorate of Education (S), Government of Manipur, has notified that candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories, who had appeared in the 2006 recruitment examination for the post of Primary Teachers, are required to submit additional documents to facilitate the re-drawal of the merit list.
As per the notification issued by the Director of Education (S), Ng. Bhogendra Meitei, ST candidates have been asked to submit their age proof certificate in the form of their Matriculation (Class 10) certificate. PWD candidates, on the other hand, are required to submit both a valid disability certificate indicating the type of disability and their Matriculation certificate as proof of age.
The department has set May 12, 2025, as the final date for submission. It further informed that claims for appointment would not be entertained at any later stage in case of non-compliance.
Officials mentioned that to ease the process for those unable to travel to Imphal, candidates may also submit their documents through WhatsApp at the number 8730934617.
The directive follows the order passed by the Supreme Court of India on September 19, 2024, in connection with SLP(C) No.15482 of 2016, which necessitated the reassessment of eligibility and merit.
