Khongjom, April 4
Fatherland Patriots’ Memorial Club, Khongjom today distributed 5 kg of rice, potatoes and dal etc. to around 300 families of Khongjom area in Thoubal district to make sure that those families find relief during their stay at home during the 21 days lockdown underway since March 24 midnight. For Manipur, the lockdown started 2 days ahead before Prime Minister’s announced 21 more days total lockdown after successful observance of Janata Curfew on March 22.
Essential commodities particularly edible items are main challenges and many Samaritans persons, clubs and CSOs are distributing at their capacity to make sure that no person in the state remain hungry.
