During this covid-19 pandemic Thongju Kendra Tengbang Lup (TKTL) under the leadership of Chief Patron Seram Neken has distributed aid to Covid 19 affected families in Thongju assembly constituency.
Altogether 150 families under home quarantine have been given edible items like potato, oil, fermented fish, dal, onion, face mask etc. Around 25 individuals are Corona virus positive till the filing of this report.
There are six corona virus positive cases in Uchekon Nongpok, four in Uchekon Nongchup, three in khongman , six in Torban Kshetri Leikai, three in Bashikhong, four in Thongju. Many families under containment zone are affected by the covid-19 pandemic.
The volunteers of the TKTL led by its secretary Jawan Mutum and Chief patron Seram Neken handed over the aid to local clubs. Representatives of Paona Memorial club Uchekon Takhok Mapal, Youth Guidance club Kongba kshetri leikai, SRCL Chongabi, Mangaal club Bashikhong, Naharol Yaipha Thourang club Okram Chuthek, Social workers congress Khongman also participated in the distribution programmes.
The Thongju Kendra Tengbang Lup said they will continue to provide assistance to people affected by the covid-19 pandemic in Thongju assembly constituency.
