Imphal, May 13: The State Election Commission, Manipur has announced the Model Code of Conduct for the guidance of political parties and candidates that shall come into force in the territorial area of the Imphal Municipal Corporation with immediate effect.
The Commission, in a notification issued by its Secretary, Radharani Mutum, has also requested the government of Manipur that a total ban be imposed on the transfer of all officers/officials posted in Imphal East district and Imphal West District till the completion of elections to the Imphal Municipal Corporations- 2016.
