Lt Gen MMS Rai, AVSM,VSM, GOC-in-C, Eastern Command accompanied by Lt Gen Bipin Rawat, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, GOC 3 Corps arrived in the state on two days visit to HQ IGAR(S) on 15 Mar 2015.
The Army Commander was briefed on the prevailing security situation in the state by Maj Gen Rajeev Chopra, IG AR (South). The Army Commander appreciated the endeavour of IGAR(S) and also conveyed his whole hearted support to their relentless efforts in tackling the security situation.
The Army Commander lauded the efforts of the soldiers for ensuring peace and tranquility in the state and asked them to continue the good work in a professional manner and in the true spirit of the “Friends of the North East People”.
