Imphal, Feb 27: A team of Narcotic cell Imphal East has seized 600 strips of Zolpidem tablet worth around RS 7 Lakh which will worth more than that said amount in the black market, today.
Zolpidem tablet were seized on February 16, 2017 from a post office speed post delivery van on the road near Kyamgei Palahanbi, Canchipur by the Narcotic Cell Team of Imphal East led by OC Shabbir Ahamed on its way to Chakpikarong after receiving and information of some drugs being transfer along the Imphal Moreh road.
The seized and shield tablet were open in front of CJM Imphal East today where revealed as Zolpidem tablet which is a type of tablet use as sleeping pills.
The seized tablets were courier by a person named Shahbazur Rahman from Chandbagh in Delhi to a person named Julia Anal in Chakpikarong of Churachandpur District.
