Imphal, Nov 11:
A team of Manipur Police Commando unit of Imphal East arrested one illegal drug smuggler namely; Phundreimayum Abdul Hadee @ Amu (35 years) S/o (Late) Abdul Gafar Khan of Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai, Thoubal District from eastern side of Arapti Thongkhong, Imphal-East at around 10 p.m. along with 1, 00, 000 (one lakh) nos. WY tablets, one car (Maruti 800), red in colour, bearing Regd. no. MN 06LA/3217, one mobile phone (Huawei P20 Pro) along with two Airtel SIM cards and a sum of Rs. 360/- (three hundred rupees).
The person along with the narcotic drugs was arrested by a team of CDO/IE Unit led by Inspector Kh. Henery Singh, OC-CDO/IE Unit under the command of Addl. SP(Ops) Imphal East District Kh. Herojit Singh, MPS and under the supervision of M. Pradip Singh, IPS Superintendent of Police, Imphal-East District conducted foot patrolling, random frisking, and checking at the eastern side of Arapti Thongkhong, Imphal-East as a preventive measures taken up in connection with upcoming Sangai Festival – 2022.
The arrested person has been handed over to Irilbung police Station for taking up necessary legal action against him.
