A truck driver of Triveni Construction Pvt. Ltd presently engaging in Railway tunnel construction work at Awangkhul died today morning after he met a freak accident around 2 am today. The deceased driver has been identified as Sonaram Deka, about 40 years old from Assam. Report said he falls from a slowly running truck while trying to get a cigarette from his fellow driver at around 2 am today and the vehicle climb over his leg. He was immediately rushed to RIMS hospital and amputated his leg. However due to excess bleeding he succumbed to his injury at around 9 am today morning.
