Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur has published the Manipur State Policy for Children, 2020 draft policy informed a notification issued by Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Social Welfare, Government of Manipur dated, 12th November, 2020. The policy has been drafted by Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights after a series of consultations with different stakeholders viz. Child Rights & You (CRY), line Departments and Social Welfare Department as the Nodal Department. A Core Committee has also examined the said draft Policy.
The draft policy is published for information al all persons likely to be affected and notice is also given that the said draft policy shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of fifteen days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette in which the notification is published are made available to the public.
Objections and suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Social Welfare, Government of Manipur or may be sent to email: [email protected] .
The objections and suggestions received from the any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry period will be considered by the State Government. The draft policy may be available in the Manipur Government website manipur.gov.in.
