Imphal, Oct 14: Former Vice President of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Dr. Khwairakpam Loken, who was also the chairman of the PDA in 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly, today slammed the Congress party leaderships who still consider family member as their priority. The former MLA resigned from the Congress Party on May 11, 2016 along with three Imphal Municipal Council Members and been engaging hectic political campaign without associating with any political party until today.
Dr. Kh Loken who had joined the BJP was given a warmth reception by the leaders and workers of the BJP Manipur Pradesh including Election Convenor Thounaojam Chaoba, Ashinikumar and Nimbus at its Nityapat Chuthek office today.
The other 3 councilors who had quit the Congress party also joined the BJP.
Talking on the occasion, Dr. Loken said that he could no longer stands with the congress party who give more priority to family members only.
“For sixty years they rule the nation, and has left it in the worst form”, Dr. Loken lamented.
Dr. Loken said that he has been observing sing the last couple of months to find out the political party where the desires of the people can be fulfilled and finally BJP under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President Amit Shah it is now clear that the nation will march ahead and problems of the society will be solved.
“If BJP comes to power in the state Manipur will march ahead towards development”, Loken asserted.
