Tension erupted at RIMS hospital Gynecology ward after a patient died while delivering a child.
The patient party alleged the doctor’s negligence and complaint about the matter to the Medical Superintendent of RIMS to investigate and take appropriate action against the doctors involved. The baby boy however survived. According to the family member, the deceased lady has been identified as Hoininglui (Thoibi), wife of W. Malemnganba Luwang of Hiyanglam Waikhom Leikai. She died after the delivery of a baby boy on April 20 at around 1.30 pm.
Family members alleged that the death was caused due to the negligence of Dr. Rameshwar (Dept. of Gynecology) and Dr. Usharani Devi.
The family members submitted a memorandum to investigate the matter for initiating action against the doctors and the family member has taken the dead body to perform the last rite.
