The Anti-Drug Hostel Committee of Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) organised an Anti-Drug Rally early this morning with the participation of around 400 hostellers and wardens from various DMU hostels.
Students from the DM College of Commerce Ladies’ Hostel, Women’s Hostel of DM College of Science, MOBC Boys’ Hostel, DM College of Commerce Boys’ Hostel, DM College of Arts Girls’ Hostel, DM College of Science Boys’ Hostel, DM College of Arts Boys’ Hostel, and the New Girls’ Hostel of G.P. Women’s College joined the rally, which commenced at 7:00 am.
The rally was flagged off by Prof. Ksh. Birbal Singh, Principal of DM College of Science, and Prof. Kh. Rajen Singh, Principal of DM College of Commerce, in the presence of Dr. K. Onand Monsang, Nodal Officer of the Anti-Drug Hostel Committee, DMU.
The programme aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, promote a healthy lifestyle, encourage a drug-free campus atmosphere and empower young people to take collective responsibility in combating drug addiction. Participants marched with banners, placards and slogans calling for a united stand against drug use.
The rally concluded peacefully, conveying a strong message of solidarity and commitment towards building a drug-free community.
