DMC students warn to boycott exam

Students of DM College of Arts has warned to boycott the exam by not appearing the 2nd Semester exam if the authorities fails to declare their previous 1st semester exam. The students also demanded a gap of at least 7 days before the commencement of the exam after declaration of the result.

Speaking to media persons Tennyson, a student of 2nd semester DM college of Arts said that many verbal and written assurance were given by controller of examination to the students for declaration of the exam result. He said that they have been compromising on various instances as their university was a germinating one where exam schedule was given prior to declaration of result. 

Tennyson further said that the authorities have assured on several occasions which fail multiple times and finally on 18th of March where the controller assured to take all responsibilities if they fail to declare on March 20.

Highlighting their grievances Tennyson said that they can’t appear if their result wasn’t declared and could not know the pattern. He added that several students also change their stream to arts. 

He added that a new exam schedule should be made having at least 7days after the declaration of result.

Clarifying the situation Controller of DM university Ashem Nabachandra assured that the results will declared today. He added that the lack of manpower was the main reason behind the non declaration of exams result. 

Nabachandra appealed the students to not initiate agitation regarding the postponement of exam. He added that the students will face inconvenience if their university doesn’t go parallel with Manipur University. 

The said 2nd semester examination will commence from 23rd March.

It can be mention that 5 colleges namely DM college of Arts, Science, Commerce, GP women college and Law were affiliated under DM university studying around 3500 students. And the results of Commerce and Law were already declared.
