The District Administration, Senapati organised a District Level Workshop on Good Governance Week today at DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati.
In the District Level Workshop, the SDO’s/ BDO’s, DLO’s and the department employees of the district were instructed to organise special camp/ events to resolve public grievances and for improved service delivery during the Good Governance week that begins on 19th of December till 24th of December.
In today’s programme, Thaithuilung Panmei, IAS, Commissioner, Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur who is the Chief Guest was impressed to see the improvement of good governance in the form of gender equality as the district is headed by lady DC & SP. He stated that Senapati district being composed of various tribes has a high potential for development for all. Besides, he also shared his experienced on governance during his time as Deputy Commissioner of the district. He also stated that trust and participation between the government employees and public is required in making good governance. He also applauded the District Administration and various other departments for carrying out various activities such as Catch Up Series, Deworming programme and other awareness programmes for the public. He wished a successful Good Governance Week.
In his welcome note, Rang David Kung, ADM, Senapati briefed on the activities that will be carried out during Good Governance Week and mentioned that Good Governance Week has officially launched on 19th of December, 2024 by Manipur CM.
As part of the programme, P.P. Ronald, Project Director, DRDA, Senapati, Dr. Agui RK, DNO, Adolescent Health Division, Senapati and Panii Ngaonii, SDC, Senapati highlighted on DRDA, Senapati best practices, Achieving wellness through Deworming and Catch Up Series respectively.
The programme was attended by Sub- Divisional Officers, District Level Officers and its staff.
