Thoubal, Nov. 28

Prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC have been imposed at ‘the Chingkham Hillock area of Thoubal district’. The orders have been imposed to thwart any adverse law and order situation in view of tension erupting in the area due to some individuals digging out earth and felling trees from the Chingkham Hill by using JCB machines and heavy trucks.

The orders issued by the District Magistrate, Thoubal N. Bandana Devi have been enforced from 27/11/2019 until further orders. However, the orders shall not be applicable to law-enforcing authorities and essential services.
