The District Administration, Senapati revamped and organised Meeyamgi Numit & District Hill Leaders Day today at Multipurpose Hall, Mini Secretariat, Senapati after being halted for some period of time.
In today’s programme, Rang David Kung, MCS, ADM, Senapati along with the SDO’s and DLO’s heard various grievances and demands of the public relating to Old Age Pension, MGNREGS, Vaccine programme, Livestock insurance and others. Besides, Health department also provides free screening of Non- Communicable Disease.
Speaking at the gathering, the Additional District Magistrate of Senapati Rang David Kung, MCS welcomed the DLO’s and its staff and public for the first episode of 2025 district level Meeyamgi Numit. While briefing on the programme, he stated that it is a significant initiative of Government of Manipur which aimed at strengthening the bond between the Government and the people. He said that it provides a direct platform for citizens of Manipur to directly interact with the government officials to share their grievances seeks solutions and access various government services without hurdles. He further stated that the programmes will improve transparency and makes governance more responsive thereby strengthening democracy that the voices of ordinary citizens are heard at the highest levels of government. He appealed the DLO’s to reaffirm commitment to good governance, transparency and inclusive department.
In altogether, 32 National Hospitality Skill Certificate of Hunar Se Rozgar Tak under Ministry of Tourism, GoI conducted by Primero Skills and Training Pvt. Ltd., 3 Knapsack sprayer from Agriculture department, 1 CMHT card from health department and 2 Ration Card from CAF & PD were distributed.
More than 20 stalls from various departments were opened to settle dispose the grievances of the public.
