Imphal, Sept 23:
The proposed reshuffle of the N. Biren Singh led Ministry that was expected today has been postponed after some dissident BJP MLAs strongly protested. Reason for the protest has not been confirmed however, source said that the dissident MLAs are against replacement of the BJP Ministers but prefer replacement of the Ministers from other coalition partners.
According to source the N. Biren Government has already prepared for taking oath of new ministers in the government by replacing three of the Ministers however, due to the strong objection from the dissident MLAs (BJP) the proposed programme for replacement of ministers has been postponed.
Vice President of the National BJP BJ Panda along with former advisor to the Chief Minister of Manipur Rajat Sethi , who was the main architect of the BJP led government in the state of Manipur had already came along with the Chief Minister yesterday. Today Another leader of the National BJP Ajay Jamal , who is also in charge of the Manipur BJP organization also arrived today at Imphal.
A major change is certain however, the BJP leaderships and the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh are rolling their heads on how to tame the dissident MLAs of the BJP.
Some analyst speculated induction of ministers from the resigned congress MLAs who had joined the BJP by dropping some BJP Ministers. However another source also said that the N. Biren Singh government after seriously studying the consequences if dropping the minister from among the BJP, may change the idea and drop out some from among the partner political party.
