Disaster management training for Imphal West police personnel concludes

Imphal, July 31: 5 days disaster management training course on search and rescue for 2000 police personnel of Imphal West district in consecutive batches organized by Relief and Disaster Management (RDM), Government of Manipur and conducted by Directorate of Civil Defence (DCD), Government of Manipur concluded today at 2nd MR Indoor Hall, North AOC, Imphal.

Speaking with media, Course officer of Imphal West district, Staff Officer, RDM, DCD, Government of Manipur, Ayub Khan said the training is a specialized course of natural and manmade disaster, emergency medical and health services, rescue in fire hazards, earthquake safety, etc. He further said that the police personnel are nearest to public and they have big roles in disaster management. The training was conducted in 20 batches for Imphal West district for altogether 2000 police personnel by 100 trainers including management officers.
