Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL), a civil body has alleged misappropriation of fund and misused of the office of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Manipur, by the Director in charge PD Ambedkar.
Talking to media persons at Jupiter Yambem center, Paona Bazaar, the representatives of the KKL said that as per the report by All Manipur Bee Keepers Association, the Director in charge of the KVIC Manipur had misappropriated a total amount of Rs. 69 lakh which had been sanctioned for the Bee farmers. It I also stated that in the year 2020 the Director in Charge Ambedkar had issued 2000 when inquired but in reality the such distribution of bee box has not happen.
The KKL also alleged that PD Ambedkar also took 50% commission while releasing fund to clusters. One cluster of bee farmer had already bear the hit for not paying commission to him.
The KKL further said that during the course of investigation , the Director –in-charge reported the DGP of Manipur and to it zonal office terming them as member of some underground groups. As per the report the members were interrogated by the city police on October 30 , 2020.
The KKL said that such misused f fund will not be tolerated and demanded immediate CBI inquiry against him. The KKL also said that compliant against him will also be sent at KVIC head quarter and its zonal office to investigate against him.
