Many deserted houses of the Meitei locality in Churachandpur have been reportedly bulldozed, flattened, and renamed in Churachandpur district. Besides Churches run by the Meitei pastors in the district were reportedly occupied by the Kuki people after driving out the pastors and the Meitei Christian followers in the district.
A report said that KhumujambaLeikai in Churachandpur district has been renamed to a Kuki dialect. Almost all houses were flattened using bulldozers by the Kuki Zo people in the aftermath of the May 3 incidents.
A testimony of Meitei Christian Paster had recently revealed that his church along with three others in the Churachandpur district had been vandalized and later occupied by the Kuki-Zo people.
