5 more students who had been detained in Samaram observatory home escaped from the home at around 12.30 pm today. Among them four students namely Sushil, Ricky, Malemnganba, Jotin continue the fast-unto-death protest at in front of Ananda Sing Higher Secondary School gate and the other student identified as Arundas begin fast-unto-death protest at Thoubal Wangmataba’s, Devi Mandop.
Meanwhile, 7 volunteers of DESAM continue fast-unto-death protest at its head office Keishampat and Thoubal for fourth phase. The students are identified as Nongthongbam Naoba, Yensembam Ashokumar (17), Mayengbam Somorjit(21), Oinam Romesh Singh (17), Huidrom Johnson (16), L Poireihanba Meitei (20) and Mameirakpam Chingkhei (19) are continuing fasting at DESAM HQ. While three students identified as Arun Mayengbam (18), Naorem Indrakumar (17) and Waikhom Bidhyashor Singh are carrying on their fast-protest at Devi Mantop, Thoubal .
