Imphal, January 27: The District Election Office, Bishnupur district has conducted a two-day training programme solely for the female officials who have been shortlisted as Polling Officers and Presiding Officers for of the coming 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election. The training, which is the first phase, will go on till tomorrow and is being held at four different halls.
Experts, district and block-level administrators enlightened the officers on the use of EVMs, VVPATs and also spoke on the issues of proxy voting, security etc. The District Election Office assured that all necessary arrangements such as proper security, fooding and other essential amenities will be met for the polling and presiding officers at the level best.
The venues for the training are Circuit House, SSS Hall, CMO Conference Hall and DIC Office.
